Back-up Vocal~ This was another idea that I had bouncing around in my head for a few years.
I got the idea for it from a photo in the December, 2010 issue of England’s Bass Guitar Magazine
(Victor Wooten is on the cover of that one). It was a fantastic picture of 3 Bass players, striking
silly poses for the camera, at Bass Day UK 2010. For the uninitiated, Bass Day celebrates Bass
Guitar Culture. These events are spotlights for famous players and gear.
The picture reminded me so much of the sort of thing Manny and Soxx would do together,
that I had to create my own version. I had finally found an opening in my strip to put it together.
So, Panel 3 is my interpretation of the image, with the rest of the strip written around it.
The Security Cam bit was my own addition, and it gave me the chance to use Grayscale instead
of color, in a context that made sense.
