Back-up Vocal~ Another installment inspired by a “right place, right time, right comment” moment. I quickly struck up a friendship with a co-worker named Paul. The second day I knew him, we found ourselves both needing to speak with a newer supervisor on the status of our respective assignments on a project. Paul found him first.
So, when I approached them, Paul looked at me, pointed at our supervisor and spouted the magnificent words you now know as the punch line for this strip. Sing along, you know the words:
“It was so good, I had to use it”.
I took that little bit of majesty EXACTLY how it was uttered, and wrote this entire strip around it. So, A THOUSAND thanks to Paul. His contribution to the world of “Mannyacs” will live forever!
